[INSPIRATION #4] Maintaining your Relationship with your Man

Are you a mother? or a lover?
Hidden Romance killers that you need to know..

One of the biggest mistakes that women can make to drain the romance, desire, and fun out of their relationship is to mother their man and treat him like a child. It is the fundamental reason that men end up resenting and eventually rebelling against women, and a sure fire way to deaden a happy love life.
As women, we are programmed to nurture and feel responsible for the care and needs of others.
It’s somewhat in our DNA to takeover when things fall apart or to anticipate a problem and try to prevent what looks like a “hazard to our harmony”. The dilemma is that the more you treat your man like a boy, the more he will act like one and it will drive you both crazy.
Learn the symptoms and solutions to prevent this hidden romance killer from taking over your relationship and enjoy creating love that lasts.
-        Taking over: Thinking you are responsible for everything – what he eats, how he takes his vitamins, wears his clothes, cares for his things, manages appointments etc.., When you start to think you know what`s better for him and become his keeper.
-        Making him an extension of yourself: Stains on his shirt affect your self-image. Feeling that everything your man does is a reflection of you and you become over nurturing and try to fix him or his ways.
And a few of our favorites from Barbara De Angelis:
-        Assuming he’ll forget: Reminding him or making lists of things he needs to do on his own.
-        Scolding him as if he is a child and giving him the “I told you so” attitude to prove you were right.
-        Telling him what to do or suggesting “improvements” when he doesn’t ask for help.
Solution: Set non-negotiable rules for yourself to prevent overstepping your boundaries.
-        Remind yourself that he’s a grown man and he has managed to get this far without you. Stop doing things for your man that he can do for himself. Treat him like a confident capable person. Don’t speak to him in disciplinary tones and once you agree on what his responsibilities are, don’t take over even if he makes a mistake.
Most importantly, respect his decisions. If you have issues with his decisions – tell him how you feel (without nagging) as well as how it affects your love for him or your relationship. Let him volunteer a solution or make a non-demanding request for what you want. Have the intention to be heard and understood but not an agenda to try to change him.
Red Flag: Pay attention if you are in the dating stage – is this is a person whose decisions you don’t respect? Do you mistrust his judgement and disagree with the way he lives his life? If this is the case, it will only get worst with time. If you choose to stay in the relationship, it will be easy for you to become a “mother” and cause problems in the long term.
The Bottom Line is: if you are convinced you need to change a man; this is your warning sign to get out of the relationship because he is not the “one” for you.
Caution: Beware of the man who lives with his mother or looks to you for the kind of care his mother gives. Men often marry women who display “mother” characteristics because they want a caregiver who will assume responsibility for every detail in the household, only to look outside of their marriage to satisfy their sexual needs.
Remember, when you are his “mother”, you are no longer his lover. Every time you cross the healthy boundaries of letting him be his own man, you are compromising your love life. Take a deep breath and courageously remind yourself that he is capable of taking care of himself. With this newfound freedom to feel like a woman, you will have more time and energy to create and enjoy a richer love life.

Baby Foot ...Another Japanese Wonder

Hey everyone! It's the weekend again and I can't wait to have this spare time to write to you about another amazing Japanese product.
Chief has been complaining to me about his calloused and cracked sole of his feet. For years we have tried using different creams from different brands like Dr. Scholl's for example and many others.
I also tried giving him a loving foot spa at home (yeah.. I have all the gadgets and machine for this at home!) only to give it a temporal beautiful feet... and also it was time and energy consuming for me.. not that I am complaining, I love taking care o my man, it is just that I can't do it often to maintain it since I am a working woman. ( I even find it difficult to have the time to update my blog all the more for other things..)
One day while roaming and being fussy with the health and beauty products at Spinney's I found this ..
Baby Foot from Japan. It says that it removes the hard skin from your feet. I scanned the box and this is what you see inside if you flip the from cover..
Seems easy to use.. which is good since Chief doesn't have the patience for things like this and will probably reject it if it was too complicated..
A bit pricey for 66AED for one time use but it says that it is just what you need..  one time use to remove dry hard skin and achieve the baby feet you desire..
When you open the box these are the things that you will get..a brochure showing the 17 types of Natural Extracts that was used to formulate this product..
oh and you better check this because if you are allergic to any of these, it is recommended that you don't use the product.
there's also this..
which has the precautions and warnings as well as directions for the use of the product..
apart from an extra guide pamphlet..
and inside the packet are these..
sticky strips are also provided to help wrap the plastic socks intact to your foot..
here's Chief's feet..
I suggested we watch a movie so that he wont notice having these things on his feet since they needed to be on and soaking you feet for two hours..
After soaking for two hours you rinse it with water...and... you will see nothing! lol!
This is normal.. don't worry, even Chief was telling me..I see no difference.. with a sarcastic look on his face.. of course I laughed! (but was crossing my fingers on my back) I explained to him that according to the product guide the peeling will start only between two days to 2 weeks after application.
Since we are busy people by nature, we totally forgot about doing this procedure after a day of doing it. You know when your mind gets all clouded with work, deadlines and thing you need to do during work week? Then three mornings after, Chief was rushing off to an early meeting so he showered before me ..( i usually go first on the shower)
On my turn on the shower while chief was dressing up, I heard him say " OH MY GOD!!" of course.. I got scared and asked "WHAT?? What happened baby??" and he went towards the shower to show me his peeling feet!!!! It was horribly amazing!! LOL!
With Chief's consent, I asked him if I could take the photos of his feet for the purpose of my review for the product on my blog.. and he agreed :) (for the first time!!! thank you my love!!!)
I have to warn you guys.. it's a bit gross but I want to show you the effectiveness of the product.. his right foot..
 and his left foot..
as I said.. "horribly amazing!!"
and again the following day I took another photo when he went out of the shower..
I know it's gross!!!
and they are continually shedding the dry skin.. according to instructions, you should just let it peel by itself and don't force it to avoid cuts on the skin since it will eventually peel off everything. You should help with the peeling by gently rubbing your feet (not much) while under the shower..
You guys may be wondering why I chose to try the product with Chief first before myself.. well, that's because I took the Sole Diagnosis from the website of Baby Foot
and for the results..
my feet are still on the Marshmallow Class since I get foot spa's once in a while when I have the time and make sure to moisturize my feet..But still despite of this I want to try the product on myself one time to achieve a soft baby feet.
For my friends and readers here in Dubai, Baby Foot can be purchased from the beauty product section of Spinney's for 60 something dirhams. Sorry I forgot the exact price.

I hope you enjoyed this product review. Please share it using the buttons below!

Emirates Airlines A380 Business Class Tour

Hey Everyone! We're back from our very short holiday in Singapore.
Let me share my very first experience for the Business Class of  the Emirates A380. I have had taken Business Class many times before but on a 777. This is also my very first A380 flight experience.
This is my Business Class mini suite..
again with noise cancellation headset, a more comfy pillow and a thick blanket..
I am grateful for the "noise cancellation" It helps me sleep because it minimizes the sound from the plane engines also if another passenger snores. I can't sleep when someone snores in a room I am in.. and in this case.. this plane is a big room which isolates all the sound.
I have to admit, I was disappointed when I first saw the Business Class of A380. I guess my expectations where a bit higher. Chief said it is in between the Business Class and First Class of a 777. Frankly, I prefer the Business Class of 777. I'm sure you want to know why..

First, The seats for the Business Class section for this plane was too much, that in my honest opinion, it loses it's "class" it looked like an upgraded Economy.... let me show you..
and another..look closely on the image.. there are two flight attendants on it.. see how tiny the other lady on the far back?? This will help you imagine how long the Business Class corridor is... so it looked kinda..Economy-ish..
also, as I designer, again, in my honest opinion (Chief's as well) the design of the cabin was horrible.. it was with all this stainless metal tubes.. mostly grayish colors that made it seem cold and old.. and rigid..

not homey like the 777 this..

Compare the two seats..This is the A380 Business Class..

and this is the 777 Business Class..

and look at the leg room for the 777 ones..

Isn't it better??
Compare it to this..

The only thing that is nice about the A380 is that you have your mini desk, and your own Mini Bar.. as what Chief said.. the quality is between the Business and First Class of the 777.

Moving on.. let's look at the different features..
This is the mini bar with your own glass, small Voss still water, Juice, 2 Sodas and Perrier Sparkling water.. Also provided is your Socks and Eye Shade.
and this is the mini desk..
another view..
Yes, you have your little mini tablet controls again.. but I never used it.. I tried removing it from the dock and its battery is low that I can't even use it.. I experienced the same thing on the First Class of the Sri Lanka trip.. is it just a coincidence that both mini tablet controls are low on battery and needs charging or it is a defect that it has charging problems???  This I have to check on my future flights..
Moving on.. this is a compartment adjacent to the window at the back of the mini tablet control.
Yup.. that's my hat.. I didn't want it to get deformed..
While sitting.. you have this view..
let me show you what are those little things under the screen..
a power outlet, and USB Charging ports.. can be used on phones, ipods, ipads, tablets and also the port for the headphones..
Right below this is the compartment where your feet will rest and serves as an extension of you seat when converted to a bed..which is a turn off for me.. compared to the 777..
underneath the cushion is a shoe compartment when you raise it up..yes, those are my Chucks..
see the white flap under the screen?? That is the compartment for the magazines, flight guides, etc..
Of course we were served drinks.. and I had my champagne..
Oh.. they have a male and female designation for the toilets.. see for yoruself on the iamge below.. look at the top part showing indication if it's occupied and which side is for which..
So, as preparation for the flight, the stewards gave passengers these little pouches.. the light color for women..
and dark color for men..
Male and female vanity kits.. Wanna know what's inside those little dust bags?
..a Bvlgari Vanity Kit
and this one for males..Also Bvlgari
Neat right??
Of course.. I will show you what's inside each vanity bag.
Let me open mine first..I love that the material of the pouch is silk with the Ecru color.. it's so classy...
I can totally re-use this pouch for my personal vanity kit..
and what's inside is..a tooth brush, tooth paste, hair brush, pocket mirror, tissues, wet tissue, hand cream, face emulsion and cologne..

and for males..

what's inside is.. a tooth brush, tooth paste, hair brush, shaving cream, shaver, deodorant, tissue and a box of Bvlgari toiletries..
you must be wondering what's inside the red after shave, body lotion and perfume..
I love how the male pouch has all the little pockets inside it..makes organizing easier..
The Male and Female Bvlgari Vanity Kit.
I remember our flight going to Sri Lanka, we were in Business to and First Class back.. they did not give us these kits since the flight was only for four hours..
I guess they only give it to longer flights.. Which means I'm going to get another one from our trip this December.
That completes our tour for the Business Class of Emirates A380. I will be posting about the Singapore trip soon as well and my bad experience on the business class flight to Singapore. From a bad service from the hostess serving my area.

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I had writing it.

Upcoming Trip to Singapore

We are leaving for Singapore tomorrow night. So, Chief and I went out today to buy things we need for the trip.
According to the 10-Day weather forecast for Singapore, there will be some rain showers and a bit of thunderstorm during our stay. I'm hoping not much since Chief is still recuperating from his Flu and Bronchitis. The least I would want was his illness to have a recurrence.

We will be staying at Ibis Hotel Bencoolen..
I have already made a little bit of research and there are two Irish Pubs near our hotel (which is good for Chief), a few Japanese Restaurants which we both love, we are near Bugis as well where there's a night market.. we are intrigued by night markets.. it's a place where you can find unique things..and a whole lot more.. Is it too obvious that I am too excited??

As part of the trip preparation we did some shopping today..and this is my loot..
Yes, it is not much.. I just bought what is essential for the trip.. I was thinking of doing some shopping in Singapore so I have to keep my luggage light :P

Since the weather forecast predicted rains we need to bring raincoats.. which is something I didn't have so I bought one today from Massimo Dutti
The material is made of Nylon but the lining inside is beautiful. It is a raincoat but very stylish. It comes with a hood too which is concealed inside the collar zipper..
and when opened.. this is the hood..
The color is actually dark blue. I don't understand why it comes as black on the photos I took. I like it very much because it's so stylish and not so expensive too. I got this for 650 AED. Compared to the usual prices of Massimo Dutti's jackets, this is cheap. But you know what, if you check the tag it costs only 99,95 Euros!!!
But i bought it for this price here..

650AED ($177)!!!
Chief said that he has already proven that Massimo Dutti is cheaper by 20% in Europe.. I wonder why because we were supposed to not pay taxes here the 20% cheaper price he is talking about already includes taxes..

Then I also had to get a new pair of sunglasses and this has been long overdue..
I got them from....
Yes.. with Italian brand.. you'll never go wrong.. besides.. it's Armani..
I'm glad that it comes with a separate pouch.. for clumsy people like myself, this is an essential thing to protect my new glasses from scratches.
Chief helped me pick the design of which fits well for me..and this is what I got..
side view..
and another front view..
They are gorgeous.. The price is 1255AED ($342) but I got it 25% off discount from the store because Chief is a regular customer :) So I paid only 940AED ($256)!
I love my new glasses!

One more night and SINGAPORE!! I'M READY FOR YOU!! HERE WE COME!!!
