[ARchicTECT Baking Adventure #02] Comfort from Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Comfort food anyone??

I baked Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies today. I've been baking these babies since I don't remember. But the last time I did .... I couldn't either!

Anyway, here's the recipe:

2 1/4 Cup All Purpose Flour (sifted)
1Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Cup Butter (2 Sticks)
2 Large Eggs
3/4 Brown Sugar
3/4 White Sugar
1 Tsp. Vanila Extract
2 Cups Chocolate Chip Morsels (Nestle Semi- Sweet / Hershey's Milk Chocolate Morsels)

1. Mix Flour, Salt and Baking Soda (sifted) in one bowl
2. On a separate bowl mash melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar
3. Add eggs one at a time on butter mix til all ingredients are all mixed well
4. Mix the dry ingredients with the creamy mixture gradually
5. Add 2 Cups of Chocolate Morsels
6. Refrigerate for an hour or two
7. Heat up the oven to 375 deg. Fahrenheit / 190 deg. Celsius
8. Place drop of rounded tablespoon of cookie mix on a flat pan with 2 inches space apart
9. Bake cookies in 10-12 Minutes
10. After removing from the oven, let the cookies site for a minute or two before taking them off to place on Wire racks to cool .. they're usually very soft after removing from the oven.

REMEMBER: Do NOT overcook the cookie to get that crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside consistency we all love!!

This is the whole batch I made with the mixture minus the 5 pieces Chief and I had with our coffee..

They just melt in your mouth..yummy!!

Another variation is to add 1 cup of chopped walnuts together with the chocolate morsels.. It just simple takes it to another level. You can have half of the mixture with just the chocolate chips and the half with the same plus chopped walnuts!

Serving suggestions would be with a scoop of your favorite vanilla ice cream which makes it a Cookie Ala Mode..

Try it!
